Mohammad Mokhber made the remarks while addressing a commemorating gathering in the Mausoleum of the late Imam Khomeini, who led the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran on his demise anniversary on Sunday afternoon.
"Fear had no place in Imam's actions and decisions. A part of it was because of his reliance on faith. Imam was in essence fearless," the interim president said, adding that "Imam believed in justice from the bottom of his heart and could not tolerate the oppressor."
"The resistance, the culture of resistance, and the school of resistance were all inspired by the Imam and before him, there was no talk of these matters," he said.
He further said that the late Imam Khomeini brought the issue of Palestine at the top of the issues in the Islamic world.
"Imam knew the enemies very well," Mokhber said.
